First off, a big “thank you” to all our past bull buyers. Your business and the feedback we receive from the performance of our cattle in your conditions help us to improve our breeding selections to continually improve the functionality of our cattle. This year we have 13 yearling bulls in the University of Wyoming High Altitude Bull Test and Sale that will be sold at auction on March 26, 2024 at the UW Laramie Research and Extension Center. Bidding online will also be available via DVAcution. Pictures and catalog will be available early to mid-March.
     We weaned our bull calves October 15, 2023 and took them to Laramie on October 31. After a warm up period, UW placed the bulls on a feed efficiency test. These bulls will be PAP tested at 7200 feet elevation to provide additional data that will be available prior to sale time for buyers who run at high elevation. We have a few bulls being developed at home to be PAP tested at 4800 feet for sale by private treaty. All our bulls are listed below by sire group.
    This year, we added a new A.I. sire, S Right Time 7861. This bull offers a tremendous combination of maternal traits and performance and we retained several daughters. We also added U-2 Coalition 206C for his superior calving ease, structural correctness, fleshing ability and maternal traits. Sitz Resilient 10208 sires easy fleshing, heavy weaning weight cattle and we have retained all his daughters as replacements. Basin Safe Deposit 9324 brings in strength in performance, and carcass value with all the Safe Deposit sons meeting the Certified Angus Beef “Targeting the Brand” criteria. Ox Bow Ozzie 3233 sires attractive, useful, moderate framed cattle with solid weaning weights and a top-notch maternal pedigree. Square B True North 8502 brings in maternal strength, natural thickness, and added marbling with the added benefit of calving ease.
